EVENTS & VENUES

Why are there so many events?

  • There are probably some people from the class of ’07 you see all the time; others you haven’t seen in a decade – either way, more time together is better than less. We planned a full weekend because:
    • You shouldn’t have to choose between catching up with friends and hitting the dancefloor.
    • Not that everyone is going to join for the Beach Run on Saturday morning… but not everyone wants to Bar-hop on Main Street either. We wanted to have options for everyone.
    • Also, some of us have children now and we want to meet them! The Farewell Brunch on Sunday will give us the opportunity to include the whole family.
  • We’d love to see you at every event, but you’re also welcome to pick and choose.

What’s the deal with “Mini-Reunions”?

  • This is a window blocked off for you to plan a smaller, more intimate get-together for your sports team, performing arts group, club, close group of friends, etc. Take the initiative and put something together so that you’re able to catch up with your close friends before the main event!
  • We’ll be reaching out to leaders of student organizations soon to assist in any way we can through the planning process.
  • Email griffin@lahs2007.com if you would like your event details posted to the site on the forthcoming Mini-Reunions Schedule.

To which events can I bring my significant other, children, friends, family?

  • SOs and friends with tickets welcome for the entire weekend.
  • Children welcome (and encouraged!) at the Beach Run/Walk and Farewell Brunch.

What should I wear?

  • Whatever feels comfortable: come as you are!
  • Suggested attire:
    • Friday evening on Main StreetCasual
    • Saturday morning Beach Run/WalkSporty/Casual
    • Saturday evening Soirée on the BaySemi-formal
    • Sunday morning Farewell Brunch Casual

My siblings and/or friends from the class of 2006 said that Boathouse on the Bay didn’t have enough space for them last year. Will this be an issue again?

  • By all accounts, the event last year was short on space. AND this has been well communicated to the venue and will be addressed to ensure that this doesn’t happen for our event. The restaurant has assured us that we will not be crammed into the back room.
  • We’ll be well taken care of, as long as we have sufficient commitment to the event in advance.  Buy tickets. Tell friends.

TICKETS & PRICING

What does my ticket include?

  • Heavy appetizers and desserts, two drink tickets, venue, band, etc. at the Soirée on the Bay.
  • Food and coffee at the Farewell Brunch.

Will you be checking tickets at all events?

  • The main event is the Soirée on the Bay on Saturday night.  List will be checked at door.
  • Aside from that, we will not be checking tickets. That said, we are also planning to provide food and drink at some of the unticketed events and hope that you’ll view the whole weekend as a package deal.

Why are general tickets $88?

  • Based on conversations with several venues, this was the minimum viable price for a nice, local space that is able to accommodate a group as large as ours AND was willing to be flexible with headcount.

In the unlikely event that the reunion is under budget, what will be done with the extra funds?

  • Great question. Again, at this point that does not look likely. However, any surplus that we have from the event will be donated. Email griffin@lahs2007.com with suggestions.
